Do you want to make your bathroom look more luxurious? Follow these helpful tips

We would all like our bathrooms (and all the other rooms) furnished with the most sophisticated items possible, with quality materials everywhere, from the floors to the furniture and fittings. This is not always possible, and spending a lot of money doesn't always ensure the best results. However, if you have an eye for elegant solutions, even on a low budget, you can greatly improve the appearance of your bathroom and make it appear more luxurious.

With a few tweaks here and there, and choosing the right objects, a bland bathroom can become more pleasing to the eye, reminiscent those of in hotels and spas. It could also be useful for those who want to rent out or sell their home!

Diagonally installed floors

So much more than aligned flooring installations, a diagonal one - in which the tiles form a 45 ° angle to the wall - suggests a luxury environment.

Plants

Plants, especially those hanging from suspended baskets: these don't steal any space and encourage you to look up, making the environment seem less cramped. In addition, they give off a feeling of freshness and livability. There are many plants suitable for humid and dimmly lit environments!

Customized containers for beauty products

For shampoos, conditioners and shower soaps, avoid using their original packaging. Unless the packaging is particularly elegant from an aesthetic point of view, in fact, the typical jumble of shapes and colors crowded on the same shelf is never beautiful to look at. Instead, invest in containers to top up from time to time with your favorite products, decorating them with labels all written in the same style. It will feel like being in a spa.

Towels

If you are a very tidy person, place your neatly folded towels on towel rods; if you are always in a hurry, use hooks.

In any case, always use towels all of the same color or shades (two or three different colors at the most) that reflect / match the colors of the bathroom's decor itself. And if they are decorated with embroidery or some other appealing details, so much the better!

Gold-plated accents

This is certainly a matter of personal taste: not everyone loves the color of gold (or other warm metals), but it is true that gold plating has become so common in the interior design world, that now there are gold taps and accessories in every model available. And there are those that are really elegant and do not give off a kitsch / gaudy feeling. Chrome finishes, too, if they match the rest of the bathroom and are kept shiny at all times, also work well.

Mirrors

The mirror is always the focal point in the bathroom: if it does not run the risk of creating visual chaos, choose a mirror with an unusual, non-traditional shape so it really gets noticed. A mirror is a prominent element that gives character to the whole room.

Decorate the walls

Framed objects on the walls: paintings, prints and illustrations (but also photos and more) are not always thought of as something which is usually used to decorate the bathroom with. But even these can contribute to making the bathroom look more sophisticated.
