Enrich your wardrobe by customizing your garments and shoes
The clothes we wear tell others a lot about ourselves: the styles, colors and materials we choose most frequently are a way of expressing our individuality, but it also happens that we can find ourselves with garments that are actually quite bland. Or perhaps our shoes have lost their initial luster but are still comfortable and we can't part with them. And what about the times when it seems to us that all the accessories we have boring and overused?
In all these cases, we can take on some small DIY projects to customize and add some captivating details to these bland garments and objects - or even transform simple items into stunning handmade jewelry. Here are some ideas to inspire you.

Décolleté: a word that immediately evokes the image of many timeless pairs of shoes - those that can never be missing from anyone's wardrobe and are always super versatile.
But if even the most trusted and tried pair of shoes becomes boring over time, so what can you do to make them interesting again? You can add decorations: for example, a chain that runs along the back seam of the heel and goes down to the heel!
High-heeled shoes are subject to two common types of wear: the rubber pad on the tip of the heel gets worn out, and the heel itself gets scratched - especially if it is covered with fabric or a patent leather. We can remedy the tip by getting a replacement rubber, but what about the other problem? It might be an idea to cover the heel with tonal glitter paint.
Speaking of paint and shoes which are used often (and are worn out): ballet shoes, with a damaged toe are a common case. Even here, we could consider giving them new life with a splash of color.
Another way to radically change the look of ballet shoes (and this also works with canvas sneakers), is to cover part or all of the upper with lace.
A pair of very simple and bland flip-flops - but which are perhaps super comfortable - become a chic pair of sandals with the help of pearls.
The idea of adding lace works very well for scarves, T-shirts and various other garments. And maybe sometimes it's the perfect answer to hide a few holes caused by wear or moths.
Do you never have enough bracelets? You can create your own by simply buying some chain and weaving ribbons between the links.
Have you ever thought that metal washers - such as those used for carpentry screws and bolts - can be used to create a necklace? Just thread them through a ribbon!
There are special occasions, such as certain ceremonies, in which the corsage is worn on the wrist: well, these floral compositions that are used as bracelets can also be created using DIY projects to perfectly match your chosen outfit for everyday use too!
