Learn an easy, fast and super useful way to fold towels on TikTok
Any tips that helps us to save space and tidy up is always welcome, especially if it takes very little effort to do. For example, in the bathroom or in the closets at home it is very useful to be able to store towels without them becoming a bulky, chaotic pile that, in an instant, steals all the space available in the closet.
Rolling towels up on themselves is a solution, but sometimes the roll created using this method loses its shape - especially if we take out one out that was pushed tightly next to another one. However, there is a useful and easy tip we can use - also shown in a video by TikTok from the account of @thefoldinglady - that is worth learning. if you don't already know this tip, read on!

The method is really very simple, and consists of a few steps that will become a mechanical habit in no time:
- Place the towel on a flat surface so that it is positioned vertically (lengthways) away from you.
- Fold both sides to the center, just overlapping the two flaps slightly: it will be folded into three parts, which must not be the same.
- Fold the lower edge underneath, at about ten centimeters (it can be guaged by eye). This is the pocket you will use later.
- Turn the towel over so that you are with the folded side up and facing you.
- Start rolling from the bottom of the towel to the far side.
- When you reach the end, make sure to take the "pocket" you created and tuck it in so that it contains the whole roll - a bit like you do with raincoats from K-way!
In this way you will have a small package, which is super compact and easy to store. It sounds complicated, but it's easier if you watch this video to see how it's done.
It could be very handy for packing too, but think about how useful it will be when filling the compartments of a closet, compared to the layers of towels stacked on top of each other. Even if you usually keep towels in baskets so they are ready for use, many more will fit in a basket in this way.
It could also be useful for tea towels, beach towels, throws and any other fabric object with an equally regular rectangular or square shape.
