Original and space-saving: furnish your bathroom with useful DIY towel holders

In every room of the house there are furnishing accessories that should not be missing, and which help to contribute to determining the overall aesthetic feel of the environment - but also help to make the area more comfortable and liveable. In the bathroom, one of these accessories is the towel holder: we need to have towels handy to dry our faces, as well as the those we use on our hair and bodies, close at hand, near the sink or near the shower and bathtub.

Traditionally, we always choose hooks, rails, shelves or some other types of equipment to hang towels on so that they are easy to reach and also to store. In addition to the infinite line of accessories and equipment that we find in furniture stores and online, we can also consider undertaking some DIY projects to make towel racks with our own hands, like the ones you see below:

A wooden board and thin metal brackets that run along the length of it: it is the perfect model to keep all the rolled up towels ready to use, mounted on a wall.

For smaller towels, a wooden board with a useful set hooks may also suffice (always choose dull hooks, so they don't damage the towels), and mounting it on the wall next to the sink is a space-saving idea to consider.

If you have some wooden dowels, you can easily build a wooden bracket to attach to the wall, again great for storing rolled up towels.

A very economical and space-saving idea is a towel rack with several arms, which stands vertically and occupies only the space between the door and the wall. It could be built using PVC pipes.

Another point in the bathroom that is perfect to hang towelsis the back of the bathroom door itself, where you can mount a couple of traditional towel rails.

... or, to avoid weighing down the door, you can create a sort of a ladder- shaped towel hanger made from rope and wood.

A design inspired by nature: a wooden branch fixed to the wall.

And for those who like an industrial style (steam punk), there are many ideas to take advantage of using metal pipes!

Do you love shabby chic style furnishings or those inspired by rustic, farm life? A vintage metal basket is great for storing rolled up towels, perhaps mounted just above a rail on which to hang those that are in use at the time.

And again, for storing small towels, a metal basket hanging on some hooks on the wall is a great solution.

Have you crafted any accessories like these for your bathroom?
