Make your balcony more welcoming by setting up corners to relax and eat outside at
A large balcony or terrace are relatively easy to furnish and become spaces that greatly increase the value of a house. But even the smallest and most cramped ones do not necessarily have to become spaces to just fill with a couple of vases or to store objects that don't fit into the house.
Sometimes, it just the case that the right inspiration is missing to transform these spaces into potential outdoor lounges where you can relax, grab a bite to eat or even work. Of course, you won't be able to use large and bulky furniture in small areas, but you don't necessarily have to sacrifice comfort or aesthetics. Get inspiration from the ideas below:
A carpet on the floor and a covering for the railing can quickly create a completely different environment, just like when painting walls and changing the flooring of a room. At this point, even sofas, stools and other elements you choose to furnish the area with will stand out more.
If there isn't a lot of space, even a narrow bench can make a difference: as soon as we know we have a place to sit outside, suddenly the balcony becomes more inviting.
The idea to use a chest as a seat and/or to store pillows and blankets in is useful in making the room available work efficiently.
There are countless styles that can be recreated in these living rooms: the can even be inspired by so-called boho (Bohemian) designs!
Pallets with cushions on top are an inexpensive and effective way to create loveseats. The wall behind the sofa, then, can accommodate wall planters to give a touch of green to the areas without cluttering the floor.
Here, too, you could use wooden logs as side tables or stools: a rustic touch that always looks good.
If there are already privacy screens that sheild the veranda balcony, you will have the ability to stretch out on an outdoor sofa or chaise longue.
Plants make everything feel more alive and welcoming, and just a few cushions and a few chairs may be enough to make for a comfortable outdoors experience.
Having a coffee table is always useful, and there are tiny ones available to hook onto the railing and that take up very little space.
You can then build - or at least find online - many solutions to have create points that take advantage of the balcony railing and can be turned into tables. Often, those with just two stools can create a comfortable spot for outdoor dining.
And some accessories may even allow you to use computers and tablets to work or study outdoors.
