There are many small inconveniences that can interrupt everyday life: not really difficult and serious problems, but those small setbacks or situations to deal with and which, by adopting a tip that we may not yet know about, we can do solve without breaking a sweat.

It can be the removal of a stain from the carpet, or a way to make a bouquet of flowers received as a gift last longer, and it is always useful to know the right method to achieve these wishes. We describe some of these solutions below:

If you want to easily deodorize the toilet without having to buy any special products, you can simply use a bar of soap and any plastic net bag (such as those that contain certain types of vegetables or other items). Simply put the soap in the net and keep the latter firmly hanging in the bown by closing the toilet seat over it. Or you could secure the net bag by tying it to one of the seat's brackets (space permitting).

If for your laundry you use powder detergent contained in plastic bags, you will know that they are always a little inconvenient to use when the special dose measurement cup disappears. You can use this easy tip to solve this irritation: cut out the neck of any plastic bottle, keeping the lid on. Then make a cut in the corner of the detergent bag, just wider than the diameter of the plastic neck of the bottle. Insert the neck of the bottle into the hole in the bag and then carefully use the flame of a lighter to seal the flaps of the bag onto the plastic of the bottle. Alternatively, you can use glue. You will have equipped the bag with a convenient closing / opening mechanism to better control the contents when you are measuring out the powder needed for each wash.

Many stains that seem to have irreparably damaged carpets or rugs can be removed with shaving foam. You will need the white one, without gel, and you will need to spray a little on the stain. Leave the foam on the stain for 20-30 minutes and then dab it all off with a soft cloth or an old towel which has been moistened.

If you want to make the fresh flowers of some beautiful bouquet last a few more days, spray them with a hairspray. The spray will seal them and prevent the flowers from spoiling too quickly. Otherwise, you can first dry them out by hanging them upside down and then spraying the lacquer all over them to preserve them for as long as possible.

If you want to replicate the suction cup effect of the toilet plunger but don't have one, you can try closing the surface of the bowl with cling film and applying pressure with your hands. It can work with minor toilet blockages.

Are you tired of seeing that certain metal tins and cylinders, such as spray cans, leave marks on the shelves (including rust stains)? You can prevent this by first brushing some nail polish on the surfaces that will come into contact with the shelves.

You can use washing machine tablets to easily clean many items in the house, including the toilet: leave one in the water bowl overnight and the next day you can scrub the dirt off without too much effort.
