Taking care of every detail of the furniture we buy also includes the choices of every accessory that we put in various rooms - even those that are merely simple things like toilet paper roll holders in the bathroom. These simple objects can also be beautiful and have unique shapes that match the rest of room's style or adds an unexpected touch.

With DIY projects, you can create many different versions of these objects, even recycling various materials such as rope, pieces of driftwood, and more. And then there are many commercial models to inspire you in case you are skilled in DIY projects involving sewing, metallurgy and carpentry. Here are some nice ideas to consider:

Create some loops at the end of a thick rope, so you can put the two ends over a hook and in an instant you will have created a beautiful, nautically-style furnishing accessory (a toilet roll holder, in this example).

Metal plumbing tubes, especially those in copper or chrome, are perfect for small projects like these.

And you could also use them to make larger and taller models to be mounted on the ground, not just fixed to the wall.

If you are familiar with woodworking, you could consider the very nice idea of creating a tic-tac-toe game board complete with a wooden "X" to be placed in the open boxes.

With a rope you can use any basket to hang on the wall - perfect for keeping oft-used supplies to hand.

Or you could use several identical baskets, mounted in a row on the wall: one can be used for toilet paper and the others can be used to contain everything else you find useful to have to hand.

Can you sew? Then some wall pockets in which to put the toilet rolls will be child's play.

With driftwood - wood which is completely free of humidity and is very light - the unique shape which has been forged by the sea and various atmospheric conditions, always adds a very unique touch to the furniture.

A roughly hewn wooden board and a peg for each roll of toilet paper - beautiful and space-saving.

Leather straps and a piece of a circular dowel rod: you then attach these to a wooden board and voila!

Have you ever thought of using discarded work tools as toilet roll holders (like an old paint roller)?

Have you ever made similar bathroom furnishing accessories?
