Make your bedroom unique by equipping it with a customized headboard
If the bed is the piece of furniture around which all the furniture in the bedroom gravitates, the headboard becomes its focal point: so, when you enter these rooms it is inevitable that our attention is drawn to the space on the wall behind and above the head of the bed.
Very often the frame chosen for a bed includes a combined element to use as a headboard, but when this is not the case, or maybe you want to replace one after a long time, it is possible to get creative and use old objects (or recycled ones) as a unique headboard. Check out the ideas below:
A large curtain: it can be draped from the middle of the ceiling, taking it up at the junction with the wall, or even dropping it from a hoop like a canopy. They are very beautiful when adorned with lights in the back.
To get a comfortable support to lean on when you want to relax while sitting up in bed, you can hang cushions on the wall: they can hang from a wall-mounted rail but also from the molding (if it is in the right position).
Or you can use a shelf such as those that are above a fireplace, using it to place picture / photo frames on, or any other decoration. The important thing is to mount it at a height that does not bother you when you want to lean with your back against the wall.
The idea of using a large picture frame is also very original - which becomes even more special if it frames a classroom blackboard!
A pallet in excellent condition is an element with a slightly industrial flavor that does not clash in rooms with rustic and modern furnishings.
A large inlaid arch that perhaps once framed a doors of an old building: it is a beautiful and rare idea, perfect for embracing a double bed in a room with a classic design.
An antique mirror with a baroque frame: a touch of glamor to be discovered and enjoyed.
Old, wooden window shutters, which are often also used as a frame to hang decorations such as wreaths and more.
Old windows and stained glass are another idea that remains very popular.
Lots of crates and wooden boxes used as modular elements to create a bookcase behind the bed: they will also be useful for storing all the objects that usually crowd the bedside tables!
