Easter baskets are traditional decorations that never lose their charm: whether they are made of wicker or other materials, then filled with real or artificial flowers. But, above all, these baskets should be decorated with eggs and bunnies - perhaps even those made from chocolate! Easter baskets are compositions that are very nice to see table centerpiece, or arranged in a picturesque way somewhere in the home.
To embellish them with small details one can use a multiplicity of decorations and all of them can be customized: they could be chicks as well as bunnies, and the flowers could be tulips - even real ones can be used! Check out the ideas below:
If you have a wicker basket with a handle, of the classic style, the simplest idea is to line it with fabric and then fill it with flowers and decorated eggs.
Even the lower and wider wicker baskets (typically used to collect cut flowers) can be used in this way, perhaps repainted in order to better match your other pastel-colored Easter decorations.
They are also beautiful just filled with straw and then with a floral decoration (perhaps made of artificial flowers) on one side or a portion of the handle. The eggs will then be placed in amongst the straw.
If you use metal mesh baskets, with an adorably rustic taste, you can fill them with colored eggs and then insert the stems of dried flowers between them. But if you want fresh flowers, then it will be better to arrange a vase with water in the center and then surround it completely with eggs so as to give the impression that the flowers are growing out of them.
These decorations are ideal for giving new life to old, battered and otherwise unusable baskets.
It would also be very nice to place the decorated basket inside an elegant silver trophy bowl.
Last minute decorating: a low basket, fresh flowers lying in it as if you had just picked them in the garden and then decorated with eggs and iconic chocolate Easter bunnies.
Enamelled metal buckets with themed decorations inside and outside: Easter is an opportunity to fill these with carrots, eggs and various animals that maybe you can make by hand and stick on the outsides.
Lots of chicks peeping out among blades of grass inside a wicker basket with a bow on top: it's a simple but enchanting decoration.
And why not place a symbolic chocolate bunny on top of the leaves and eggs decoration?
It's nice to load these baskets with tulip too, even artificial tulips will look great.
A unique idea would be to decorate the basket in the shape of a unicorn.
And for all those with a sweet tooth, the basket could be made of candy boxes!
Happy Easter to all!
