Space-saving beds: many ideas to furnish the smallest rooms with taste and efficiency!

When there is no space in a room to set up areas for different purposes, you have to get creative with your mind to try to take advantage of all the nooks and crannies and other surfaces available to create a livable environment complete with everything you need. In the case of the bedroom, obviously the sleeping area has priority, but it can be modulated in such a way as to leave space for the other corners of the room as well.

A space for studying, or one for the wardrobe, for a sofa or an extra bed for guests. Or maybe even just a solution to find a way to have more freedom of movement in the room where, however, it still needs to have all the vital and necessary furniture. Here are some ideas of space-saving bed frames that come in handy in cases like these:

A room that does not have a large surface area but does have high ceilings becomes an opportunity to furnish more efficiently, exploiting the vertical space available. Thus, the frame on which the bed rests can be placed above a comfortable custom-made wardrobe, which will be then become the main wardrobe in the bedroom.

And you don't necessarily have to have a customised bedroom built: you can also create these raised bed frames with sturdy open bookcases acting as the bedframe's support.

If you want to leave the floor free at the entrance to the room, and not find yourself overwhelmed by the furniture as soon as you cross the threshold, then the sleeping area can be placed on the opposite side of the room, also with comfortable drawers the bedframe and using a wardrobe instead of an additional headboard.

Or you can create a platform for the bed (works best for a futon) on one side, and on the other half of the bottom side - always aligned with the windows - you can deploy a desk.

Building an elevated platform allows you to open up useful space without having to deploy other piecesof furniture. And this works even when the ceilings are not very high.

A "loft" bed structure, as an alternative to the classic bunk beds: the ladder leads to the sleeping area above, and below there is a corner to study at a desk.

A fold-down bed, which disappears into the wall, may not be exactly convenient for everyday life, but it could be the solution in a room that is used only occasionally to accommodate visiting friends or relatives.

And the folding model can also be chosen for bunk beds!

A different form of "loft" bed is one where the structure is hung from the ceiling. In this way, all the space underneath is completely free.

Alternatively, you can choose very sturdy, robust metal frameworks, which really are only comprised of the columns, the ladder and the shelf. They do not enclose the environment and are very modern and beautiful to look at.

When installed with all the necessary safety measures, beds hanging from the ceiling are very charming.

Would you like to furnish your home in these ways?
