When you want to dedicate yourself to the completion of some project with which to decorate the house on the occasion of a festivity like Easter, a great range of possibilities open up; but maybe you always end up doing the same things and this can become boring and more like a chore than having fun. If you want to try decorating with some different methods than the usual, you might consider resorting to easy and fun recycling ideas, such as those one can do with corks.

Whenever you need to cut corks for a project to be done with these stoppers, remember that it is advisable to boil them in water for about ten minutes first so that they do not crumble under the pressure of the knife. Check out the ideas below for decorating your home with adorable ornaments made from discarded corks.

A little yellow paint, orange marker for the beak and black dots for the eyes and, finally, a feather to glue in the rear: sparkling wine or champagne corks can easily become cute Easter chicks, which you could use to decorate other objects (centerpieces, garlands and more ) or perhaps even as a place card at the table or even to embellish a gift wrapping.

Another way to turn used corks into chicks is to wrap wine corks with yellow pipe cleaners! Then, with some paper, you can create the beaks and maybe add some stick-on, googly eyes (which are easily obtained at hobby shops).

Beads for paws and, above all, a mini white pompom for the somewhat irreverent (but iconic) tail: these bunnies made using corks are hilarious.

The corks from sparkling wine or champagne can also become rabbits - just add some ears cut out of paper, felt or EVA rubber (also known as EVA Foam which is a polyethylene-based plastic material which can easily be cut and is widely used for arts and crafts).

Stick together many corks of the same shape and size: with a little glue they can form the shape of a rabbit's head, which you can then decorate by drawing on eyes and whiskers (or glue on googly eyes and pipe cleaners).

You could also create a more minimalist decoration, using corks to outline just the silhouette of a rabbit's head. It's a cute and easily made ornament.

A regular, crown wreath made with corks becomes the perfect decoration for Easter - especially if you add eggs and maybe some festive bows.

And you could also create flowers with corks, since even these are iconic additions to any of our festive Easter decorations.

And there are so many designs and styles to choose from.

A cute basket to give as a gift or to use as a table centerpiece at Easter, with "flowers" made from corks, plant cuttings and a bunny in the center.

And wouldn't it be very cute to decorate a table or the home with these decorations in the shape of mini flower beds?

Happy Easter!
