Modern-style showers: let yourself be amazed by the many ideas to furnish a bathroom with contemporary taste
A modern style shower can find a home both in a bathroom decorated in an equally contemporary style, and even when some details have a slight retro charm. Everything depends on knowing how to best combine materials and shapes, and the options to choose from are truly endless. We also take into account the space available, as well as the natural and artificial light that can be obtained in the bathroom, so as to perhaps choose light or darker colors.
Glass or masonry gravels, glossy or opaque tiles reminiscent of stone, vintage-style shower trays or ultra-modern ones that create a real rain effect in the bathroom. Be inspired by these and many other ideas in the examples of modern showers below:
Surfaces free from too many furnishings - perhaps a niche in the wall to accommodate the products to be used in the shower, and for the rest, a simple glass panel that separates the shower area from the rest of the bathroom, thus protecting from splashes: very few elements to use and all very light.
Often the glass doors that enclose the shower do not have a frame, so as to be almost invisible. And the trend that sees the use of non-glossy tiles, but those with an almost rough effect, is becoming increasingly popular.
If, on the other hand, there is a frame, it can become a graphic element, like a suspended geometric design that is added to all the other room details in sharp color contrast with the walls, ceiling and floor.
Generally shower enclosures are arranged in the corners, and it is also pleasant to emphasize the space enclosed by the transparent glass walls with a coat of paint that is in contrast with the rest.
When there is a lot of space available and, above all excellent lighting, the walls that enclose the shower can also be made of rough masonry, perhaps without reaching the ceiling.
If you want to take advantage of the look of wood in the shower, you can do it with tiles that simulate a wood effect.
There are also examples of showers that have a wooden floor (usually in teak), duly treated to be able to resist moisture without getting damaged in such a humid environment - but these are quite expensive. Even rarer, however, is it to find real wood on the shower walls.
A very nice the idea of a dark shower, with the niche for shampoo and shower gel, artificially illuminated from behind and above.
What makes the difference too, are the shower heads: the large square plates types are very beautiful, often set in the ceiling, which makes the water fall like rain.
The fixed ones with a round or rectangular plate style also have a similar effect, which is always combined with a shower head with a detachable smaller hand-shower tube on the wall.
A really great idea for an attic.
We would say that this is a dream bathroom.
