9 useful tips to keep your pantry in order

In any house there is a space used as a pantry: it might only be wall units in the kitchen, or a compartment or an area of another room near the kitchen itself. Even when there is a lot of space available, there is still the risk of it getting messy, and it is even easier for this to happen when you have to cram a large amount of food into a narrow area.

There is nothing more frustrating than taking out an item we need from some piece of furniture or shelf and knocking over everything that was around the item as well. To find everything at a glance and avoid such inconvenience, it is therefore worth adopting some brilliant tips to organize the available space efficiently. Read on to find out about a few of these:

If you want to set up the pantry in a closet or wall niche or even a small closet, which you will equip from top to bottom with many shelves, it is better not to place them all equidistant from each other: in a pantry there will also end up to be bottles and bags or baskets of more (and less) bulky food that take up more (or less) space. Organize the space, taking into account that you may need some shelves set further apart and others closer together.

If, on the other hand, you do not have a special area, do not worry: a sturdy piece of furniture, even in an industrial style, will be enough to fill a wall with all the supplies and useful items for the kitchen. Prepare various baskets and containers to use to keep everything in order.

Open baskets, in wood or iron, others with lids and various types of jars for all kinds of food: arranged in this way, the pantry is easy to use and beautiful to look at.

Is there too much space between two shelves? Make the most of it by placing internal movable shelves: you can create them with plexiglass containers or even with other types of baskets placed one on top of the other.

For all food bags it is useful to use clip hangers, such as those with which certain items of clothing are sold.

A brilliant idea for hanging up your kitchen foil, oven paper or cellophane packs using their own boxes.

Smaller bags, on the other hand, can be put in order in a shoe rack such as those used for camping, to hang inside a door or on a free space on the wall of the pantry area.

If your shelves meet at an angle, put round swivel trays at the top, to use that awkward space as much as possible and make it more easy to find what you are looking for.

Metal trays that hang from the shelves, creating a small shelf on the underside - it's all extra space to store other food items.

How do you like to arrange your pantry?
